Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) School-Based Position in San Jose, CA

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students within a school setting in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally through evidence-based interventions and positive support strategies.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 behavioral support to students in classroom and school environments
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA or supervising specialist
  • Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and progress data
  • Support students with communication, social skills, and daily routines
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and families
  • Assist in de-escalation and behavior management strategies when needed
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies

Qualifications

  • Active RBT certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral needs preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a school team environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
