Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract role as an RN supporting students across multiple elementary buildings near Albany, NY. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid RN license in New York State
- Prior experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred
- Strong assessment, triage, and health education skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability and confidence in floating between different school buildings
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day nursing care for students, including medication administration, first aid, and chronic condition management
- Respond to health emergencies and collaborate on student care plans
- Support health screenings and documentation in compliance with school policy
- Float between elementary school buildings during the 8 am4 pm schedule to address varying health needs
- Accompany students and staff on field trips, ensuring a safe environment and responding to health concerns as needed
- Serve as a health resource for staff, parents, and students, fostering a supportive atmosphere
