Job Description
Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity making an immediate impact in a middle school setting. This position is ideal for a compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in a supportive one-on-one role and enjoys working closely with students. You'll provide direct care for a single student with a seizure disorder, ensuring their safety throughout the school day and during transportation.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Georgia required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric patients preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations with composure and professionalism
- Willingness to ride transportation van with the student to and from school
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized medical care and monitoring for a middle school student with seizures
- Accompany the student on the transport van each school day (approximate start time 5:506:00 am; end time around 2:30 pm)
- Administer medications and provide seizure intervention as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate regularly with the students family and school staff
- Educate and support school personnel on seizure precautions and emergency response plans
- Adhere to district protocols, ensuring a safe educational environment
Enjoy professional fulfillment and stability with a full-time (40 hours/week, 5 days/week) schedule through the end of the school year. The compensation for this contract role starts at $37 per hour, reflecting both your expertise and dedication.
