Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a School RN, floating between elementary buildings and assisting with field trips. Begin immediately and continue through June 12, 2026, working weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This role is perfect for nurses who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about keeping students healthy and safe.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license in New York
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Strong assessment, triage, and documentation abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to float between multiple elementary buildings and manage field trip responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for students and staff across assigned elementary schools
- Administer medications, treatments, and urgent care as needed
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and perform triage
- Maintain clear, accurate records and communicate with families and staff
- Support field trip activities, including health assessments and medication administration on-site
- Promote wellness and preventive health through education and daily practice
