What Youll Need:
- Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation License for Registered Nurse
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement
- Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) licensure (required)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric nursing environment preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and compliance with state guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing oversight and support district-wide, offering guidance for best practices in health and safety protocols
- Collaborate with teaching staff, administration, and families to promote a healthy school environment
- Assess, manage, and document student health needs and concerns
- Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans
- Serve as resource and advocate for students with medical requirements
- Ensure up-to-date compliance with all district and state health regulations
