Job Description

Embark on a rewarding assignment serving students and staff as a school Registered Nurse (RN-BSN) with a focus on individual student care and health screenings. Needed qualifications and experience:

• Active RN license, BSN degree
• Certified School Nurse credential from CTC (preliminary acceptable)
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Confident performing vision and hearing screenings for various age groups
• Familiarity with developing and following Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
• Comfortable adhering to district health protocols and collaborating with diverse school staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough hearing and vision screenings for students across all grade levels and for those with IEPs
• Provide direct care and support within the school health office as needed
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with medical needs
• Maintain detailed records of assessments, screenings, and care provided in accordance with state and district requirements
• Consult and communicate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure holistic student support
• Respond appropriately to health emergencies and serve as a resource on wellness-related topics

This role offers a flexible weekday schedule, with hours from 8am12pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 20 hours per week from now until May 31. You'll be an essential presence in a positive school environment where your expertise makes a daily impact.
