Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation License as a Registered Nurse
- School Nurse Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) licensurethis is a strict requirement
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the health needs of students and staff throughout the district
- Perform regular school nurse duties, including health assessments, medication management, and emergency response coordination
- Ensure compliance with state and district health policies and procedures
- Serve as a resource on health-related issues to educators, administrators, and families
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
- Provide consultative guidance regarding individualized healthcare plans and communicable disease protocols
