Job Description

Step into a dynamic role supporting students and staff as a Float Registered Nurse across multiple elementary schools. This contract opportunity offers an immediate start and runs through June 12, 2026. Engage in meaningful work ensuring the health and well-being of young learners while assisting various school environments from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. You'll also play an integral part in providing healthcare support during exciting off-campus field trips.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in New York State required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Solid clinical judgment with the ability to respond to a variety of medical situations
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents
• Adaptable and organizedready to manage changing environments across multiple buildings
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Main Responsibilities:

• Float between elementary schools to deliver nursing services as needed
• Attend and support student health needs during school field trips
• Provide first aid, medication administration, and chronic care management on site
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate directly with faculty and parents
• Collaborate with educational staff to promote best practices for student health and safety
• Respond to urgent medical situations with calm and professionalism
