This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified School Nurse (CSN) who is passionate about delivering exceptional care in an educational setting. You will provide individualized (1:1) nursing support and transportation assistance for students, helping them thrive academically and personally.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license or CSN certification valid in New Jersey
- Experience providing nursing care in school environments is highly valued
- Skilled in 1:1 care for children and adolescents with a variety of medical needs
- Ability to support safe student transportation, including on buses and during field trips
- Compassionate, flexible, and dedicated to fostering a supportive atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to assigned student(s), including medication administration, monitoring of medical conditions, and emergency response as needed
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and family members to develop and implement student health plans
- Accompany and supervise students during transportation to ensure all individual health needs are met
- Maintain accurate health documentation and communication regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute healthcare expertise to team discussions
