Desired Background and Skills:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience conducting assessments, writing reports, and participating in IEP meetings
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Familiarity with current best practices in school psychology and intervention strategies
  • Ability to adapt to various school sites and serve diverse student populations
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads across different district locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological assessments and evaluations for students referred by school staff or families
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized educational and behavioral plans
  • Participate in the IEP process, sharing assessment data and recommendations
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Support the districts Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives
  • Promote students' well-being by helping identify and address factors that impact learning and mental health
  • Travel between district schools to ensure consistent services across all sites
