Job Description
Embark on a rewarding adventure impacting student well-being as a school psychologist for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity begins August 1st and spans a 12-month, year-round position, allowing for ongoing collaboration and support within a vibrant educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
- Demonstrated experience conducting student evaluations, assessments, and counseling
- In-depth understanding of educational laws, special education processes, and evidence-based interventions
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Previous experience as a school psychologist in an educational setting is preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct mental health services and behavioral support to students
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for educators and families
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students academic and emotional needs are met
- Assist in developing strategies for learning, behavior management, and crisis intervention
- Support special education assessments, eligibility, and IEP development processes
- Participate in planning and delivering workshops for staff and families on mental health topics
