Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a contract School Psychologist, working full-time in a vibrant educational setting near the Williamsburg, VA area. Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state-specific eligibility required)
- Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting preferred
- Strong understanding of psycho-educational assessments, behavior interventions, and IEP processes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and working within multi-disciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psycho-educational assessments to identify students educational and behavioral needs
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to address student challenges and promote positive outcomes
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Offer guidance and support to staff regarding best practices for student mental health and wellness
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines
