Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 3.0 or higher required
  • Applied for, or currently hold, an active PEL (Professional Educator License) for interpreting in schools

  • Previous school-based or child-centered experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class and school-based sign language interpretation for middle school students participating in the DHH Program
  • Collaborate and communicate with educators, program specialists, and families
  • Adapt interpreting strategies for various classroom settings and individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records consistent with school guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
