This contract opportunity is based in Hampshire, IL and offers the chance to make a profound impact on students educational journeys.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficient in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skills
• EIPA score of 3.0 or above required
• PEL (Professional Educator License) for school interpreting; candidates may apply if license is in progress or already active
• Previous experience working in educational settings or with DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) students is highly desirable
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt interpreting techniques to meet dynamic classroom needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events for a student or small groups as needed
• Facilitate clear communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, educators, and staff
• Collaborate closely with teaching teams, special educators, and related service providers to support each students learning goals
• Advocate for access and understanding within the school setting
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Stay current with best practices and ongoing professional development in the field
