Required Qualifications:
- Active Alabama SLP License
- Certification as CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Experience in schools, pediatrics, or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong understanding of speech-language pathology best practices
- Commitment to serving K-12 populations with diverse speech and language needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Travel between three close-proximity school sites, ensuring continuity of care for all assigned students
- Provide consultation and resources to teachers and caregivers to support student communication in the classroom
- Attend required team meetings and trainings to remain current on best practices and compliance standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes each childs success
