Step into an engaging opportunity supporting student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a diverse educational environment in the Aurora, IL area. In this itinerant role, you will serve students across two school sites, collaborating with staff and families to deliver excellence in speech and language services. An average caseload of about 45 students ensures meaningful connections and ongoing professional challenges. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required, supporting the broad cultural community within the schools.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Valid Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to eligible students
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to support each students needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress tracking
- Travel between school sites within the district as required
This is a full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), aligned with the academic calendar. The contract is anticipated to start on August 27, 2026, and run through June 9, 2027, subject to board approval.
