Job Description
In this rewarding contract opportunity, your expertise as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist will support students' communication, learning, and social success. Current openings include a full-time elementary assignment for the 2026-27 year, as well as maternity leave coverage from AugustNovember and OctoberJanuary. In this role, you'll collaborate with a dynamic educational team and truly make a difference for students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior success or strong interest working in elementary school settings
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessment, intervention, and support tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with families and school staff
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to maximize student outcomes
- Support a positive and inclusive educational environment for all learners
