Job Description
Step into a rewarding role providing speech-language services to elementary students in a supportive school environment. This contract position runs from July 27, 2026, to May 31, 2027, where youll play an integral part in helping students from 5K to 5th grade achieve their communication goals. Work with a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students and be part of a collaborative team focused on student growth and success.
This opportunity is part time, offering flexible scheduling with a commitment of 2-3 days per weekperfect for those balancing professional and personal priorities.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Masters degree in Communicative Disorders or a related field
- Current South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- SC Educator Certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience with school-based speech therapy strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide intervention for elementary students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and school teams
- Maintain accurate and timely student documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Engage actively in team meetings and contribute to positive student outcomes
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure coordinated care
