Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position
Greenwood, South Carolina | 20262027 School Year
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 20262027 school year in Greenwood, SC. This is a school-based position serving a diverse student population across grade levels. We are also open to hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) under appropriate supervision.
Position Overview:
The SLP will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting. You will collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers to support student success and communication development.
SLPAs will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to implement therapy plans and support student progress.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations (SLP role)
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support AAC and assistive communication needs as appropriate
Qualifications:
For SLP:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- South Carolina SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA CCCs preferred (CFY candidates encouraged to apply)
For SLPA:
- Associates or bachelors degree in SLPA or related field
- South Carolina SLPA certification/licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- 2+ Years of Experience
