A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eager to make a meaningful difference in a school-based setting near Joliet, IL. This full-time contract position spans the academic year from August 2026 through June 2027, supporting a dynamic and diverse student population. The SLP will work across various educational environments, including general education, ED/BD settings, autism programs, and transition centers, tailoring services to unique student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid SLP license in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Skilled in assessment, individualized intervention planning, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt approaches for a range of learning needs and ages
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct and consultative SLP services to students at multiple sites:
- Nettle Creek general education: 5 students
- River's Edge Academy (ED/BD): 15 students
- Saratoga Autism: 12 students; 3 consult
- Transition Learning Center: 5 students; 6 consult
- Completing evaluations, developing and implementing IEP goals, and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Providing support and resources to teachers and families
- Maintaining detailed service records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Remaining flexible as additional caseload details become available
