School-Based OT or COTA Las Vegas, NM

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in the vibrant Las Vegas area for the upcoming school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to support student development in one of the most dynamic cities in the country!

Assignment Timeline

• Full School Year: 2026/2027

• Schedule: Standard school hours (approx. 7:30 AM 3:30 PM, MondayFriday)

Position Details

• Role: OT or COTA (Supervision provided for COTAs)

• Setting: K-12 (Specific school site assignments based on experience and preference)

• Location: Las Vegas, NM

Caseload & Workload

• Caseload: Collaborative workload model focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional life skills.

• Collaboration: You will work alongside a supportive team of district therapists, teachers, and parents to implement IEP goals and track student progress.

• Support: For COTAs, consistent mentorship and supervision from a licensed OT are built into the schedule.

Requirements

• OT: Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy + Active New Mexico State OT License.

• COTA: Associate degree from an accredited OTA program + Active New Mexico State COTA License.

• Proficiency in IEP documentation and school-based billing.

• Strong communication skills and a "student-first" mentality.
