Job Description

Embark on a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an elementary school setting. This contract role covers the 2026-2027 academic year, spanning from July 27, 2026, through May 31, 2027. Youll serve a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students in grades 5K through 5th, delivering vital speech and language services as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Communicative Disorders or a closely related field
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state of South Carolina
  • Current SC Educator Certification
  • SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credential (Clinical Fellowship Year candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP practice
  • Passion for working with elementary-aged children and effective collaboration with families and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings
  • Evaluate students to determine service needs and develop individualized plans
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy for assigned caseload
  • Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary staff to support student progress
  • Keep thorough records and documentation aligned with district and state requirements
  • Engage families in the therapeutic process and communicate regularly about student growth
