Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a school-based Speech Language Pathologist to support elementary students in a supportive, collaborative environment near Machesney Park, IL for the upcoming school year. This full-time contracted position follows a standard school schedule, with priority given to your flexibility in setting hours within the school day. Both experienced SLP-CCC professionals and recent graduates (CFYs) are encouraged to apply, as comprehensive supervision and orientation are provided. Immediate start is available, featuring a manageable caseload and a single school site.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Illinois SLP license (or eligible)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Experience or comfort working with students in both general and special education, including those with ASD
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 3540 elementary students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for elementary students
  • Provide direct and consultative services in both general and special education settings
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists
  • Attend required orientation and participate in ongoing professional development
