Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students across several educational settings for the 2026-2027 school year. This role spans August 2026 through June 2027, supporting a diverse caseload including general education, emotional/behavioral support classrooms, autism programs, and transition services. You will play a key role in helping students maximize their communication potential and participate fully in school life.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for practice in Illinois
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Versatility to manage a varied caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Expertise in evaluation, treatment planning, IEP development, and data-driven progress monitoring
What Youll Do:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students at multiple sites, including general education, emotional/behavioral, autism, and transition programs
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and track progress toward goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, communicating effectively with families and educators
- Serve as a resource and support to fellow staff regarding best practices for communication challenges
- Adapt services to meet the unique needs of each student and setting
- Stay current with emerging interventions and compliance standards
- Maintain diligent documentation and contribute to a positive, collaborative school environment
