The assignment is scheduled for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning mid-August 2026 and concluding mid-June 2027. You'll play a key role in helping students achieve their communication goals while working closely with educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Must hold (or be eligible for) an active Delaware SLP License; applications cannot be considered without a current license and an up-to-date resume, unless applying as an SLP-CF.
- Certification as SLP-CCC preferred, though SLP-CFs are welcome to apply.
- Background in school or pediatric settings encouraged.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for children with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and deliver Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain thorough documentation of services, progress notes, and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and provide staff in-service training as needed.
- Caseload specifics and hours may vary slightly, but you can expect to work onsite at an elementary school from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, with a daily paid lunch break.
