Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the elementary level for the upcoming academic year. Working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade, youll play a pivotal role in helping approximately 50 children enhance their communication skills in a supportive and collaborative school environment. This part-time opportunity offers a consistent two to three days per week schedule, allowing for a great work-life balance during the school year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Communicative Disorders or a closely related field
- Active South Carolina SLP license
- SC Educator Certification required
- Open to candidates with CCC or those completing their CFY
- Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
- Dedication to fostering student growth and progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Deliver direct and consultative services, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students communication goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and track student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the schools special services team
