Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to design and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and update individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress and maintain thorough, accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students overall success
- Offer strategies and resources for classroom and home use to enhance students communication skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer expert recommendations for accommodations and interventions
