Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting school communities near Schaumburg, IL as a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity spans from August 27, 2026, to June 9, 2027, and focuses on serving diverse student populations within an itinerant model. You will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise across two school sites, providing tailored care and interventions.

What Were Looking For:

  • Active IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required
  • Experience in school settings, preferably with a range of age groups
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Positive approach to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to students in accordance with IEPs and state guidelines
  • Evaluate communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Serve caseloads averaging 45 students, within state-cap guidelines
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records per district standards
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers
  • Travel between two school sites as part of an itinerant assignment
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
