Job Description
Empower students and make a difference as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Sonoma, CA. Utilize your expertise as an SLP with your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support student communication, language development, and academic achievement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC certification
- Active state licensure in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school environment working with K-12 students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and school activities
- Provide consultations to staff and families on strategies to support communication needs in the classroom
