Job Description

As a valued professional, you'll make a significant impact by delivering comprehensive speech and language services in a collaborative educational environment, working alongside teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications & Desired Background:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) eligibility
  • Current or eligible for North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) license
  • Proficient knowledge of childhood speech/hearing development, communication disorders, and effective treatment modalities
  • Strong understanding of school-based laws and regulations impacting service delivery
  • Ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screening, assessment, and diagnostics for speech, language, and hearing concerns
  • Maintain thorough, confidential student records and provide periodic program reports
  • Collaborate with educators and parents for effective intervention planning
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to individuals and groups
  • Continuously analyze student progress and modify strategies as needed
  • Offer guidance and support regarding speech, language, and hearing programs
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere for student success
  • Assist with safe physical management of students and participate in school safety drills when necessary
  • Travel between school sites as required

This is a 10-month contract role, following the NC Speech Language Pathologist Salary Schedule, providing a meaningful chance to foster student growth and communicative competence.
