Your background and skills should include:
- At least one of the following: SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA (school-based experience highly valued)
- Current or eligible state licensure/certification for school-based speech therapy
- Experience or enthusiasm for working across K-8 caseloads
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow therapists
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments
Daily responsibilities encompass:
- Providing speech-language therapy to K-8 students, focusing on individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Conducting evaluations, developing treatment goals, and tracking student progress
- Consulting and collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Assisting with assessments and eligibility determinations
- Delivering engaging, evidence-based interventions on-site
- Maintaining detailed and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
