Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in a school-based position focused on supporting K-5 students. This contract opportunity begins August 20, 2026, and extends through June 11, 2027, offering the chance to be part of a collaborative environment of dedicated professionals. Youll manage a caseload of approximately 40-45 students and work alongside a supportive team of experienced SLPs always willing to offer guidance, share insights, and collaborate on complex cases.
What Were Looking For:
- Masters degree in speech-language pathology or a closely related field
- Michigan SLP licensure (current and in good standing)
- Previous experience providing speech therapy in a school setting is a plus
- Strong commitment to student growth, inclusion, and communication development
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to K-5 students in both individual and group settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Assess, document, and track student progress using evidence-based practices
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to continually enhance service quality
- Serve as a resource for educators and families regarding communication strategies and supports
This role requires 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing consistency for both you and your students. Depending on experience and fit, compensation ranges from $55-70 hourly.
