Job Description
Make a real difference in the lives of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist supporting school-aged children in a vibrant Vermont community near Waterbury. Work collaboratively with a dedicated staff, utilizing your expertise to empower students with communication challenges and foster their academic and social growth.
Qualifications:
- Active Vermont license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) welcome, as well as Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Experience working with pediatric populations a plus
- Previous school-based experience is valued but not required
- Passion for facilitating students speech, language, and communication development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy to students with a range of speech-language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with educators and families
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing professional development
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive educational environment
- Stay current on best practices within pediatric and school-based SLP
