This full-time contract role places you in a dynamic educational environment, empowering students with communication needs and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through high school
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support
- Provide direct therapy, consultative services, and participate in RTI/MTSS when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to school, district, and state procedures
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
