Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and communication skills throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time assignment, based near Yorkville, IL, is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist committed to making a difference in diverse educational environments.
As the primary SLP collaborating with multiple programs, youll serve a variety of student populations, including general education, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism programs, and transition planning. With a manageable caseload spanning several settingsNettle Creek (5 students), Rivers Edge Academy (15 students), Saratoga Autism (12 students, 3 consults), and the Transition Learning Center (5 students, 6 consults)you can focus on student-centered care and supportive interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) certification
- Illinois state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting diverse learning needs, including autism, behavioral challenges, and transition-aged students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and consultation services aligned with IEPs
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Support positive student outcomes across multiple sites
