Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary-age students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a full-time contract basis. Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA licensure in the state
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Understanding of speech and language development and common disorders
- Ability to follow speech-language pathologist plans and guidance with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for building rapport with students, teachers, and families
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage caseload, documentation, and materials
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy activities and interventions under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for approximately 40 elementary students
- Track student progress and assist with data collection and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers and families to reinforce therapy objectives in the classroom and at home
- Prepare materials, organize therapy sessions, and contribute to a positive learning environment
