Ideal candidates will have:
- Current SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) licensure or eligibility in Colorado
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Understanding of principles and techniques of speech and language therapy for children
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct therapy to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assisting lead Speech-Language Pathologists with assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
- Preparing therapy materials and maintaining accurate documentation of student progress
- Supporting classroom teachers in adapting communication strategies and materials
- Participating in IEP meetings and team collaborations as needed
- Maintaining a positive and professional rapport with students and staff
