Job Title: School Social Worker
Location: Clinton Township, MI
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for the 20262027 school year. The ideal candidate will support students social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while helping to remove barriers to academic success through collaboration with school staff, families, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Conduct social and developmental histories and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings
- Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and services
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Michigan Department of Education approval as a School Social Worker (Preliminary or Full approval)
- Current licensure through the Michigan Board of Social Work (LLMSW or LMSW)
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
