School Social Worker / Behavior Specialist
Location: Endicott, WA
Assignment Dates: August 26, 2026 June 9, 2027
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (35 working hours)
Setting: K-8 School
Position Overview
We are seeking a School Social Worker / Behavior Specialist to support students in a K-8 school setting. This unique position combines 50% Social Work/Behavior Specialist responsibilities with 50% administrative support.
The social work caseload is expected to be very small, allowing the selected candidate to provide individualized student support while also assisting with administrative responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities
Student Support & Social Work 50%
- Serve as a Behavior Specialist and provide social work services to K-8 students.
- Conduct social-emotional screenings and needs assessments.
- Provide counseling services to students.
- Participate in MTSS, IEP, and 504 meetings.
- Support students' behavioral, social-emotional, and academic needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student success.
Administrative Support 50%
- Provide administrative support to school leadership.
- Track certifications and required trainings.
- Coordinate student records requests.
- Prepare reports and assist with meeting and agenda materials.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- ESA certification strongly preferred, but not required.
- LCSW preferred, but not required; MSW candidates will be considered.
- Middle school experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience providing counseling, behavioral, or social-emotional support in a school setting preferred.
