Qualifications:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program
- Current state licensure as a school social worker
- Specialized school social work certification
- Experience working within diverse school settings is highly valued
- Excellent communication, assessment, and advocacy skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students social, emotional, and academic needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to design intervention plans for at-risk students
- Serve as a liaison between school and community agencies, connecting families to support services
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings; contribute expert input to student support plans
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Promote a positive, inclusive school climate
