School Social Worker
Location: Fryeburg, ME
Schedule: Full-Time, 33.75 hours per week
School Year: 20262027
Start Date: August 31, 2026 (Preferred availability for orientation and safety trainings August 2428, 2026)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join a supportive school district in Fryeburg, ME for the 20262027 school year. This full-time opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact by providing social-emotional and behavioral support to students while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
LSW candidates are encouraged to applyan LCSW is not required. Travel candidates are also welcome to apply!
Position Details
- Full-Time: 33.75 hours per week
- Pre-K through 8th grade caseload
- Caseload of approximately 2526 students
- Additional caseload details: Students receiving services may have Emotional Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Other Health Impairments (OHI)
- School Year: 20262027
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Preferred availability for orientation and safety trainings during the week of August 2428, 2026 (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct social work services and social-emotional support to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Develop and implement interventions to address students' behavioral, emotional, and social needs.
- Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Maine Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) credential.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or related setting preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
