Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
- Specialized certification in school social work
- Current state licensure to practice as a school social worker
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Experience working with diverse student populations is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support student wellness and success
- Advocate for students social-emotional and behavioral needs within the educational environment
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement culturally sensitive intervention plans
- Provide crisis intervention, support for at-risk youth, and assist in conflict resolution strategies
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate in creating a positive, safe, and inclusive school climate
