This full-time, onsite contract position is ideal for a dedicated School Social Worker seeking new opportunities and adventure. As part of the school-based team, you will help address diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs, working closely with students, staff, and families to promote academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program is required
- Must have specialized school social work certification
- Active and valid state licensure as a school social worker
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced educational environment
- Open to travel professionals able to fulfill a contract assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and case management for students
- Facilitate referrals to community resources and support services
- Advocate for students access to educational and mental health resources
- Document all counseling and intervention services in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
