Job Description

Step into a meaningful teaching opportunity shaping the lives of students with diverse needs for the 20262027 school year. Four contract positions are available for Special Education Teachers across multiple specialized programs in Lehigh County and Carbon County. Youll be supporting students in autism support, multiple disabilities support, and emotional support classrooms, collaborating with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers. Assignments follow a typical school-day schedule, commencing in August and ending in June, with placement based on experience and location within a 35-minute commute from designated sites.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification (required/preferred per opening)
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience in special education
• Ability to create and implement IEP goals and monitor student progress
• Effective classroom management and problem-solving abilities
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Experience (Program-Specific):

• Autism Support: Familiarity with ABA-informed strategies, AAC and PECS, sensory regulation, and BIPs
• Multiple Disabilities Support: Skilled in adapted curriculum development, personal care routines, and life skills instruction
• Emotional Support: Background in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, crisis prevention, and supporting emotional regulation
