This dynamic opportunity is perfect for professionals who hold both a general education and a special education certification, and were open to considering applicants with pending credentials.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid general education teacher certification (special education certification also required; pending credentials will be considered)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, ideally in a school setting
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere
• Comfort adapting instruction to meet the unique needs of both general education and special education students
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement instruction for a classroom of 15 students with varying academic needs
• Develop and execute individualized programs for students with IEPs, while ensuring a supportive environment for all
• Collaborate with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and families to promote student growth and achievement
• Maintain thorough records and documentation in compliance with special education requirements
• Create a positive classroom setting that encourages participation, growth, and respect
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as needed
