Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching K-12 students with a variety of learning disabilities
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each students IEP
- Modify and adapt lesson plans to address diverse learning needs and abilities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student progress
- Monitor, assess, and document student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Employ positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and professional development as required
