Job Description

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) for the 20262027 school year in Nevada City, CA. This part-time position offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative educational environment while fostering academic, social, behavioral, and functional growth.

This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students achieve their educational goals while working alongside supportive school teams and families.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-Time
  • 3 Days per Week
  • August 19, 2026 June 10, 2027
  • Onsite

Qualifications:

  • Active California Special Education Credential required
  • Mild/Moderate Authorization required
  • Current California credentials must be in good standing
  • Previous special education experience preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Commitment to creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and educational needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill development
  • Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Caseload:

  • TK8th Grade
  • 9 Students
