With positions open across all grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12), this role serves a diverse group of learners in self-contained, resource, and special day classroom environments. The assignment runs from January 2026 through June 2026, offering a chance to make an impact through the entire second semester.
Responsibilities include developing and delivering individualized instruction aligned to student IEPs, collaborating closely with general education teachers and specialists, and monitoring student growth. This position is designed for an engaged educator who thrives on adapting strategies to meet a range of needs and can collaborate effectively with classroom teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active state-issued Special Education teaching license
- Experience working with K-12 students in a variety of educational settings preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload and provide specialized instruction in self-contained, resource, or special day classrooms
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and positive learning environments
Key Duties:
- Implement and modify curriculum based on individual student needs and IEP goals
- Develop lesson plans, track progress, and maintain accurate records
- Foster supportive relationships with students and families
- Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate and adjust instruction as needed
- Advocate for students and contribute to a positive school culture
