Full-time opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers eager to work alongside talented paraeducators and contribute to the success of children with diverse needs.
Opportunities include:
- Supporting children with significant behavioral needs, managing a caseload of 2-7 students in a collaborative classroom environment.
- Working with students with physical disabilities and autism, overseeing a caseload of 7-8 students while sharing the classroom with a skilled paraeducator.
Both roles offer structured schedules, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with all the advantages of consistent hours and a supportive team culture.
What were looking for:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross Categorical (K-5) Special Education certification required
- Experience or genuine interest in working with elementary-age students with significant behavioral needs or students with physical disabilities and autism
- Flexibility, collaboration, and the ability to adapt to varying classroom dynamics
- Strong communication skills to build trust with students, families, and fellow educators
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique strengths and challenges
- Collaborate closely with paraeducators and related service providers
- Track student progress and adjust interventions to maximize learning
- Communicate milestones and concerns effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Create an environment where every student feels valued and supported
