Special Education Teacher
Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 June 9, 2027
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30 AM 3:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
Requirements:
- Active Minnesota Special Education License (Tier 3 or Tier 4)
- Strong collaboration and classroom management skills
- Experience with IEP development and due process procedures
Position Summary:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities while managing a caseload of up to 15 students. Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, delivering direct and indirect special education services, monitoring student progress, supporting academic and behavioral growth, and ensuring compliance with special education requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
- Provide direct and indirect special education services.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and due process compliance.
- Supervise and support paraprofessionals.
Support & Caseload:
- Maximum caseload of 15 students
- Dedicated time during the school day for IEPs and due process responsibilities
- Ongoing support from special education leadership and instructional coaching
